Hi! My name is Daniil Kopytsko. I’m a 3d environment artist from Minsk, Belarus.
I've graduated Minsk Innovation University in 2011 as a Designer of Virtual Environment. My graduation project (videogame lookdev and prototyping) got the highest grade and I was invited to teach students at the same university at the faculty of design. I've spent there more than a year teaching students all the digital media. At the same time I was a freelancer - I did tons of stuff like motion design, mattepaintings, 3d modelling etc.
In 2012 I've joined Heyworks team as a junior 3d artist. I worked hard spending almost all of my free time on studying and pushing my skills to a new level. After about 2 years I was promoted to a Lead Artist position. I was responsible for a team of 5 artists and for planning/production of videogame art. All the art we did was mobile oriented so I didn't put it into my portfolio because it's...well... it's just a mobile art - nothing special there) . I worked there till April 2016.
In May 2016 I received an offer from Wargaming to join their R&D team. As a part of a team working on the World of Tanks 1.0 (the most anticipated release in the history of WoT) I was responsible for modeling, sculpting, baking, texturing, level art/set dressing, environment setup and some particle VFX and lighting setup (depends on the environment). I also took part in developing (from artistic perspective) and implementing new pipelines and techniques of content production and environment setup.

What can I say about myself? Well, i think I'm a nice guy. At least my mom states that xD
I don't have any problems with communication and it's always a pleasure for me to talk to someone. I can be a good team player and a team leader as well. I'm not scared of hard work, crunches, sudden changes in pipelines, new people etc. No pain no gain, right?)
I'm a strong skilled artist and I can do a full environment production from the concept and idea to layout and blocking, modeling\sculpting\texturing and all the in-engine stuff like shader setup, set dressing, lighting, VFX and post.
And yeah, I'm a true gamer. I've been playing videogames since I was little kid. I even have tattoos with videogame characters on both of my hands)) So this is not just a job for me, it's more like a well-payed hobby. I really love and care about what I do.
